30 LRS trains for mission readiness

Senior Airman Brandon Sena and Senior Airman Richard Dye, 30th Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Management journeymen, use a decoy roadside bomb to halt a 30 LRS training convoy and simulate small arms fire to force the convoy to break contact and exit the “kill zone” Dec. 18, 2014, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. A key component of Combat Operational Readiness Training is testing the decision making and assessment capabilities of convoy team members as they react to an unpredictable environment. The goal of CORT is to ensure Airmen are able to operate and survive in a contingency or wartime environment as a team. (U.S. Air Force photo by Michael Peterson/Released)
