Base housing will no longer provide renter’s insurance
All base housing residents signing leases April 1, and beyond, will no longer be provided renter’s insurance. Due to the Department of Defense recently electing to eliminate the renter’s insurance component of the basic allowance for housing, an average of $20 each month, the Air Force scrapped obligatory renters insurance, formerly incorporated in privatized housing projects.
