Air Force Clubs member wins $5,000 scholarship
Staff Sgt. Reynaldo Perez Santiago, 369th Recruiting Squadron line officer accessions recruiter and Air Force Clubs member, was awarded a $5,000 scholarship prize from Lt. Col. Candice Pipes, 30th Force Support Squadron commander, during a ceremony at the Pacific Coast Club, July 14, 2017, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. Santiago was awarded the scholarship for his second place finish in the non-traditional category of the 2017 AF Club Scholarship Program, writing a 1,000-word essay on the theme: "A time when you were tested to live up to the core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do." Overall, the 2017 AF Clubs Scholarship program awarded 10 scholarships to Club members across the Air Force totaling $36,000. Santiago is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Aeronautics with minors in Management and Safety from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, with plans to pursue a master's degree in Business Administration after he graduates.
