30th CES paves the way for new range capabilities
Alex Escalante, 30th Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment operator, plows through mounds of dirt to create a gaseous nitrogen pad Aug. 18, 2020, at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. The construction of the pad increases the flexibility of range infrastructure by providing a contingency location for nitrogen support when the nitrogen plant is unavailable and eliminates a single point of failure.
