30th Security Forces Squadron Expeditionary Training

30th Security Forces Squadron’s Alpha Flight forms a security arrangement as they deploy an uncrewed aircraft system for route clearance during an expeditionary exercise on Aug. 25, 2023, at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif. Over the past few months, the 30th Security Forces Squadron has diligently prepared its Defenders for the newly revamped Air Force Generation (AFFORGEN) deployment model. AFFORGEN replaces the Air Expeditionary Force deployment model and ensures a sustainable force offering of Airmen and airpower to the Joint Force. Throughout June and July, the squadron completed over 30 expeditionary tasks, readying themselves for six independent exercises in August, where members of every section within the squadron participated in base defense and dismounted operations.
