30th Security Forces Squadron Expeditionary Training
U. S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Travis Durand and U. S. Air Force Senior Airman Cassidy Hunt, both 30th Security Force Squadron military working dog handlers, and Kiru, 30th SFS MWD, demonstrate a bite-and-hold technique during an expeditionary exercise on Aug. 25, 2023, at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif. Over recent few months, the 30th Security Forces Squadron has diligently prepared its Defenders for the newly revamped Air Force Generation (AFFORGEN) deployment model. AFFORGEN replaces the Air Expeditionary Force deployment model and ensures a sustainable force offering of Airmen and airpower to the Joint Force. Throughout June and July, the squadron completed more than 30 expeditionary tasks, readying them for six independent exercises in August, during which members of every section within the squadron participated in base defense and dismounted operations.
