30th Security Forces Squadron Expeditionary Training

U. S. Space Force Col. Mark Shoemaker, Space Launch Delta 30 commander, meets with members of the 30th Security Forces Squadron during an expeditionary exercise on Aug. 25, 2023, at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif. During recent months, the 30th Security Forces Squadron has diligently prepared its Defenders for the newly revamped Air Force Generation (AFFORGEN) deployment model. AFFORGEN replaces the Air Expeditionary Force deployment model and ensures a sustainable force offering of Airmen and airpower to the Joint Force. Throughout June and July, the squadron completed more than 30 expeditionary tasks preparing them for six independent exercises in August, during which members of every section within the squadron participated in base defense and dismounted operations.
