SLD 30 Hosts Mission Overview for NASA’s SPHEREx Space Telescope
NASA members from Jet Propulsion Laboratory, local media outlets, and individuals with base access listen to a mission overview hosted by Space Launch Delta 30 for NASA’s SPHEREx space telescope mission at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., Feb. 20, 2025. SPHEREx, scheduled to launch later this month from VSFB, will conduct the first large-scale survey of water ice and other key ingredients for life in the Milky Way galaxy. This two-year mission will map the entire sky, observing hundreds of millions of galaxies and celestial objects using wavelengths invisible to the human eye.
