30 LRS Supports Arrival and Training of New Payload Transporter Replacement at VSFB
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Jake Ainsworth, 30th Logistic Readiness Squadron vehicle maintenance journeyman, conducts training on the newly arrived Payload transporter Replacement (PTR) at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., May 15, 2025. More than eight years in development, the PTR modernizes the transport, maintenance, and sustainment of Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) for the Minuteman III ICBM. Vandenberg is the third of four locations to receive the upgraded vehicle, which features enhanced security, improved logistics support, and compatibility with future munitions facilities.
