Virginia Spaceport Authority Visits Vandenberg SFB
Members of the Virginia Spaceport Authority pose for a group photo during a visit to a Ground Based Interceptor site at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., April 8, 2026. During this visit, VSA personnel learned more about Vandenberg’s capabilities and mission areas that support national security space and missile defense operations. The visit also followed the launch of a Northrop Grumman Minotaur IV rocket carrying the Space Test Program S29A (STP-S29A) mission from Space Launch Complex 8 on April 7, 2026, which VSA personnel assisted with launch site operations. The engagement highlighted continued collaboration between Vandenberg and spaceport partners to enable responsive launch and test range operations across multiple sites.
