Vandenberg service members begin a ruck march following a National Police Week opening ceremony held at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., May 11, 2026. The memorial ruck followed the Police Week opening ceremony to commemorate defenders for their sacrifice. National Police Week was first established in 1962 when the former U.S. President John F.
