A deluge pump sits in the Training Device Design and Engineering Center at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, March 31, 2026. Space Launch Delta 30’s TDDEC fabricated the lower half of a pump housing which had a significant crack along the exit flange for Space Launch Delta 45’s Deluge Pump 7, which is a critical piece of infrastructure at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. One of the TDDEC’s primary functions is to coordinate with customers and produce training aids, models, and full device replicas to help servicemembers train and fulfill their missions at Vandenberg.
