Vandenberg Unveils Food Donation Center
A Vandenberg service member reaches for a banana following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at a new community space managed by base chapel volunteers dedicated for the purposes of distributing donated groceries to families in need at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Aug. 10, 2026. The space, located at the former child development center across from the base chapel, will facilitate the collection and distribution of donations to enhance the welfare, morale, and readiness of members of the base community, to include Airmen, Guardians, federal civilians and their families.
