Vandenberg Military Working Dog Ringo B393 Retires From Service
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Trey Nelson, 30th Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, hugs Ringo, a military working dog, as part of a retirement ceremony held at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Aug. 13, 2026. Over Ringo’s career, he supported 19 U.S. Secret Service missions supporting the President and Vice President of the United States, Joint Chief of Staff and Foreign Dignitaries. In 2022, Ringo deployed for six months to Al Dafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates in support of U.S. Central Command operations, where he contributed to regional force protection and combat air operations.
