MISSILE DEFENSE TEST SCHEDULED Published June 3, 2010 By 060110 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 30th Space Wing and Missile Defense Agency are scheduled to conduct a flight test of a modified ground-based interceptor between noon and 4 p.m. June 6. The modified interceptor is a two-stage variant of the operationally-configured three-stage design now deployed at Vandenberg AFB. This test is solely for data collection purposes and system performance evaluation. There is no target launch or intercept attempt for this mission.
