Firefighters extinguish Santa Lucia Canyon fire Published Nov. 24, 2009 By 061109 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The brush fire near Santa Lucia Canyon Road here has been put out. Approximately five acres were burned. Fire crews are currently mopping the affected area. There are no reported injuries or damaged facilities on base. The fire has not affected any base operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
