Boat crashes Published Nov. 24, 2009 By 041109 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Emergency responders here reported one dead and one injured survivor from a boating accident that occurred off the coast of Minuteman Beach here yesterday at sundown. Rescue operations are currently underway to locate at least one missing person. The injured person was found on Minuteman Beach at approximately 10:37 a.m. and has been transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. All individuals involved are civilians. The scene has been secured to account for safety and environmental concerns. More information will be released as it becomes available. Col. David Buck, the 30th Space Wing commander, will hold a press conference today at 2 p.m. at the Visitor Control Center by the main gate.
