California ANG jumps delayed Published June 25, 2009 By 070609 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Due to drop zone approval complications, 30th Space Wing officials have decided to delay a series of parachute jumps over the base's airfield, scheduled to take place Wednesday, until a later date. Wing officials are working to establish a new date on which members of the California Air National Guard's 129th Rescue Squadron will perform practice parachute jumps. The event is intended to qualify Airmen on jumping techniques and prepare them for real-world jump missions. Public affairs will release more information once a new jump date is established.
