Brown Road access, outdoor recreation resume Published June 15, 2009 By 050609 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- 30th Space Wing officials have decided to resume outdoor recreational activities outside the base cantonment area and have reopened access to Point Sal Beach via Brown Road today. The decision was based on the determination there is no longer a mission requirement necessitating the closure of the beach access and recreational areas on base.
