Vandenberg Airmen to return from deployment

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. - Approximately 41 Vandenberg Airmen from the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron are scheduled to return from a 6-month deployment at the Vandenberg Airfield on Dec. 7 at 2:10 a.m.

While deployed, the Airmen worked jointly with 823rd Red Horse Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Fla. Their duties included base build-up and security.

"I look forward to welcoming home our 30th CES Airmen," said Col. Jack Weinstein, 30th Space Wing commander. "We currently have 315 Vandenberg Airmen still deployed in support of the Global War on Terror and I am extremely proud of their dedication to our nation's mission.

"I would also like to thank the families for the sacrifices they endure during their loved one's deployment."
