Vandenberg Hosts AF Golf Championships Published Aug. 24, 2006 By 040706 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 30th Space Wing hosts the 2006 Air Force Golf Championship at Marshallia Ranch Golf Course here August 1-4. Qualified players will compete for one of nine spots on the Air Force Team, which will then compete against other branches of the armed forces in the Armed Forces Golf Championship also slated to be held here Aug. 7 - 11. The winners of that tournament will go on to represent the U.S. in competition in Ireland against the best military golfers in Europe. Five Vandenberg players were selected to compete for a position on the Air Force team this year; Capt. Scott Baker, 381st Training Group; Capt. Geoffrey Mann, 392nd Training Squadron; Staff Sgt. Eric Murphy, 533rd Training Squadron; Tech. Sgt. Jason Price. 532nd Training Squadron; and Tech. Sgt.
