Vandenberg Firefighters Battle Brush Fire Published Aug. 24, 2006 By 060606 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Thirty-two firefighters and dozer operators from Vandenberg's Hot Shots team and the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron deployed to battle a brush fire east of Santa Maria June 19. Crews left Vandenberg to fight the Perkins Fire in Cuyama Monday afternoon.
