Fitness center awards its Weight-Loss Warriors

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Vandenberg Fitness Center hosted an awards ceremony for the participants of the 2009 Weight-Loss Warrior Program here Feb. 4.

Six people received awards for first, second and third place in both male and female categories.

Female
1st Place -- Autumn Marshall
2nd Place -- Carla Grizzle
3rd Place -- Naomi Williams

Male
1st Place -- Hugo Razo
2nd Place -- Lt. Col. Phil Bauer
3rd Place -- Rob O'Connell

Thirty-four people from the Vandenberg community participated in the 12-week incentive program geared toward improving their body fat indexes, which is a body fat measurement based on a person's height and weight.

"The program is set up to motivate people to stay on track with their personal fitness goals," said Isea Jones, a program coordinator at the fitness center.
