VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Space Launch Delta 30 leadership and Vandenberg service members attended the retirement of Ringo, a military working dog, as part of a ceremony held at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Aug. 13, 2026.
Ringo graduated from the Department of War Dog Training School on Aug. 27, 2019 and contributed seven honorable years of service to the U.S. Air Force. Over Ringo’s career, he supported 19 U.S. Secret Service missions supporting the President and Vice President of the United States, Joint Chief of Staff and Foreign Dignitaries. In 2022, Ringo deployed for six months to Al Dafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates in support of U.S. Central Command operations, where he contributed to regional force protection and combat air operations.
The 30th Security Forces Squadron defends active space launches, protects intercontinental ballistic missile launch facilities, and ensures peace for base personnel through law enforcement.
