30th Space Wing changes command Published April 22, 2010 By 040410 VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 30th Space Wing change of command ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at the base parade grounds. Lt. Gen. Larry James, the 14th Air Force commander, will be the presiding officer for the ceremony in which Col. David Buck, 30th SW commander, will relinquish command to Col. Richard Boltz. Colonel Buck, who arrived here in June 2008, will go on to fill the position of director of space forces for U.S. Central Command at Al Udied Air Base, Qatar. Colonel Boltz will assume command of the 30th SW leaving his previous position as the commander of 614th Air and Space Operations Center.
