  • Vandenberg Leaders Participate in Housing Forum, Seek Diverse Options for Increased Population

    During a housing forum hosted by Congressman Salud Carbajal in Lompoc, Calif., Feb. 15, 2023, Col. Robert Long, Space Launch Delta 30 commander, and Tom Stevens, SLD 30’s executive director, represented the 2,600 service members and 1,500 civilian personnel who live and work at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
  • Lt. Gen. Nina Armagno Visits Vandenberg

    Recently, Lt. Gen. Nina Armagno, U.S. Space Force Headquarters director of staff, visited Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif. Armagno has over 34 years of operational experience as a career space operator. Also, she is the only person to have commanded both the 30th Space Wing and the 45th Space Wing.
  • Newest U.S. Space Force Inter-Service Selections

    MSgt. Roymindar Singh, 2nd Space Launch Squadron plans and programs flight chief (not pictured), TSgt. Crishonda Porter, 30th Operations Support Squadron deputy airfield manager, and SrA Caleb Ramirez, 30th Civil Engineering Squadron commander support staff, are getting selected for the United States Space Force Inter-Service Transfer. IST program allows qualified individuals from other military services to apply to transfer to the USSF under active duty.

    A SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket carrying Starlink mission 2-4 launches from Space Launch Complex-4E on Jan. 19, 2023, 7:43 a.m. PDT, Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif.
